Gerson Macedo Guerra

Our partner Gerson Macedo Guerra is responsible for the Legal Consulting area and possesses extensive experience in Tax Law and Corporate Law. He holds a Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais and holds an LLM in Tax Law and Corporate Law from INSPER. He was an Advisor at CARF - the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals, having made up the Upper Chamber of the First and Second Sections. He also co-authored the books PIS e Cofins na teoria e na prática (PIS [Program of Social Integration] and Cofins [Contribution for the Financing of Social Security] in Theory and in Practice), Aspectos tributários da nova lei contábil (Tax Aspects of the New Accounting Law), Análise de casos sobre aproveitamento de ágio: IRPJ e CSLL, à luz da jurisprudência do CARF (Analysis of Cases on the Use of Goodwill: IRPJ [Corporate Income Tax] and CSLL [Social Contribution on Net Profits], according to CARF case law), Questões controvertidas do Direito Aduaneiro (Controversial Issues in Customs Law), in addition to publishing a number of articles in specialized magazines.

Eduardo Oliveira Gonçalves​

Our partner Eduardo Oliveira Gonçalves is responsible for the Litigation area and has considerable experience in the area of Tax Law. He holds a Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, with a specialization in Tax Law from Faculdade Milton Campos, an MBA in Tax Management from FIPECAFI, and a specialization in Management from Fundação Dom Cabral and in Business Law from Universidade Gama Filho.
